Hot Flashes is an Alberta politics newsletter by Deirdre Mitchell-MacLean
Twitter has cancelled its Revue newsletter and the simplest thing to do was start fresh somewhere else (with all of the previous editions, of course).
If you were previously subscribed, your email has been added to the subscriber list on Substack. If you were also a paying subscriber, I would really appreciate your support again and you will be able to choose that option somewhere around here, I’m sure :)
2023 may be yet another banner year as Alberta heads to the polls for what may result in a change election that pisses off half the province, or not, in which case half the province will be pissed off.
There remains a third, yet distant, option of electing some third party representatives to relive that 2015 feeling of hearing many voices in the Legislature and that will piss off everyone who was rooting for the other team.
And there are whiffs of a potential challenge to Trudeau’s leadership, as well as a possible federal election this year; the result of which may piss off half the country.
Can you feel the excitement?!
I’ll be here to snark at faux outrage and unbridled hypocrisy from the week’s happenings in Alberta and beyond.
Thanks for joining me;
Deirdre
