Uncertainty about separation seems to parallel Trump's uncertainty about tariffs. It should result in similar economic and political fallout.

You are correct on that. Quebec suffered greatly after 80 and 96. I would go on to say that the economic fallout is still being felt to this very day.

We’ve been having those debates at our house about solar for several months now, asking solar brokers what they think the province will do long-term about that. And unfortunately we decided that it’s better to wait. So while that money could have been spent this calendar year, instead we’ll wait 5 years and see what the climate is like then (pun intended, sadly).
